Prompto shrugged his shoulders at Noct's apology. "Don't sweat it. I get it probably looked pretty bad. I mean I was covered in your dad's blood," still is, his brain unhelpfully added. He couldn't fault Noctis for jumping to the worst conclusion. Prompto was a Niff that had been holding a bleeding, fatally wounded Regis. If the roles had been reversed, Prom's reaction would probably have been the same.
He ran his hand nervously through his hair, grimacing at the grime and dried blood there, hand dropping back to his side. Ugh. He felt gross. He wanted more than anything to have a hot shower and then crawl into a soft bed and sleep for a month.
At least he wasn't a prisoner. That was good to know. He offered Noctis a small smile, even if it didn't quite meet his eyes. "Lemme check my schedule... Turns out I'm totes free for the foreseeable future so I guess I can stick around."
He thumbed in the direction of the shop. "I got some gil. I'll grab us all some drinks." Climbing off the back of the truck, he left the machine gun beside Noctis. Walking into a shop covered in blood and wielding a machine gun was probably a bad look.
It was while Prompto was inside the shop that Cor arrived at Hammerhead. He scanned around for potential danger before heading over to the truck. "Highness. How is his Majesty?" He looked relatively unharmed, and trying to look calm and collected and not show just how shook up he felt. "Are you injured? I thought you would be in Galdin by now..."
