Prompto really hoped Noctis didn't think he was rich or something, because he would be greatly disappointed. He had a bit of gil tucked away, but not a great deal. He had been saving up for a LOKTON LK-30 camera but he didn't have a great deal of ways to actually earn gil. Mostly, he had run errands for people back at the research facility. There would always be researchers or assistants that didn't want to walk from one side of the facility to the other to fetch or deliver reports, samples or equipment so he would play courier for a slight fee. And there were always people breaking their computer or equipment who needed his help to fix them - again, for a fee.
Still, a camera could wait. His small, beat-up, old digital one would do him for a while longer. Noctis had allowed him into the group, it was only fair he paid his way.
"On it!" He shot Noctis a smile and shoved the two cans of cola at him. He didn't want to take them back into the shop and get charged again for them. That would suck.
Once inside he eyed the list. It seemed bizarre that Noctis would ask for energy drinks when cola was far cheaper and they both contained sugar and caffeine. He didn't know much about magic, or that Noct could fuse said magic with energy drinks to make potions. Still, the list said energy drinks, so that was what he would get.
Eight energy drinks, one phoenix feather (holy crap that was a lot of gil), a bottle of contact lens solution, a contact lens case, a toothbrush, a bag of chips and a whole lot of spent gil later Prompto made his way to the caravan. He wasn't sure if he should knock. It seemed appropriate to. So he did, a gentle rap of knuckles against the door before climbing the step and stepping inside.
"Heyaz." He sounded both shy and exhausted. It had been a long day.
